Magnetic Flux
Description
Magnetic Flux Leakage/Exclusion is a method of identifying defects in carbon steel plates and cables by introducing a magnetic field in a scanning pattern over a ferrous material to measure areas of material loss.
MFE is an effective tool in storage tank bottom plate inspection, cables, and on materials where only one side is exposed.
